THERE'S A NEW KID ON THE BLOCK ~ DAVESTE VINEYARDS

North Carolina has seen a lot of winery's pop-up in the past few years and we have a new one on our block! The very first winery in Iredell County is set to open, to the public, in late August. Daveste Vineyards, located in Troutman, is owned by Dave and Ester DeFehr. The 52 acre setting includes rolling hills, a pond with a waterfall, hiking trails, and picnic area. winewine grapesThe winery will also include a tasting room and art gallery.

Planted in 2005, the vineyard includes malbec, merlot, chambourcin, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, rkatsiteli, and chouchillon grapes. For more information please visit their website ~ Daveste Vineyards..

Boy - I sure do love wine!  :)  My husband and I want to take a two day tour of the vineyards in NC.  I think people would be very surprised with all of the quality vineyards we have - they are outstanding!

Hey Leesa: thanks for coming by! My husband just came home tonight and I told him at dinner about this place. We are planning on going soon. After several hobbies, that he has had, he has just started making wine... We just bottled our first batch two weeks ago. Take care.
