Rachael Ray’s Nutrish
Looks like a favorite of mine is expanding her culinary empire, Rachael Ray has launched a charity-driven line of dog foods based on her recipes that she has created for her dog, Isaboo. Rachael Ray’s Nutrish will fund Rachael’s Rescue, which is a charity that helps at-risk animals.

The first beneficiary is a terrier mix named Spirit that was featured in the news earlier this month. Spirit suffered from multiple fractures after he was savagely beaten at the U.S. – Mexico border. Rachael’s Rescue has offered to cover all medical costs for his recovery.
A line for cats is also in the works…

Hey Lynn, Thanks for stopping by! Really having pets is a luxury now days with the costs of vet visits. I really can't blame the vet's they need to make $$ too. Take Care!
It seems I hear so much about animal rescue and the shelters are full of some lovely animals, yet adoptions can't keep up. Pets are such great therapy, especially for seniors, and I know of some who would love the company, but cannot afford it. I would support her cause my dog is finicky, worse than morris the cat. For those who go back to morris
I like Rachel Ray as well and it is great to see her giving back to something so great that she believes in. And great for you to pass this info along.
Hey Paul: Thanks for stopping by! It just tears me up thinking that we have these little fur balls, just wanting to be loved, and some will never be placed. You are so right about seniors liking pets, at this time in their life they have the time to spend with them. Take care!
Hey Terrie: Thanks for stopping by too! I hope her food line will be a success for the pets as well as herself! Take care!
