Randy Pausch Looses His Battle...
Randy Pausch , the computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA passed away this morning, July 25th, at his home in Virginia. He was 47. Pausch was known for the "The Last Lecture" which he gave in September 2007, which became an Internet sensation and best-selling book.In September 2006, Pausch was diagnosed with incurable pancreatic cancer. Last fall Pausch and his family moved to Virginia to be closer to his wife's relatives. The Last Lecture is very touching. Pausch doesn't dwell on his illness but rather his childhood, family, and dreams... he grew-up a little awkward but ended up marrying the girl of his dreams and having an amazing career that he loved. At the end of the lecture he tells his audience that the lecture wasn't for them but for his children. . . .
