I assume this is a resort type town/area? Average price per home really isn't that much lower considering the country stats for 2008 ---- thanks for the info

Yes, I would consider Lake Norman a resort type town and/or area. Really the average prices of houses on the lake (with good water) would be closer to $700,000.+. We are seeing a lot of people purchasing houses on the lake and replacing them with new ones making the prices around $1,000,000.+ .
