What does the word PROFESSIONAL mean to you??

What is your definition of PROFESSIONAL? It seems we use that word a lot when we are describing people. We also use it in most of our promotional marketing material. I know what Webster's definition is but what is your definition ~ what comes to your mind when someone says they are a "PROFESSIONAL"?? Do you think it may be an over used word??

Would like to hear everyone's thoughts.....

Teresa, I did two blogs on the subject.  To put it simply, it means dress businesslike, talk proper, and produce the results the customer or client expects.  Maybe even a little more.

I think it is an overused word. And very subjective.

Kenneth: Thanks for your comments. I did do a quick search on AR about the subject but didn't find any (I guess maybe I didn't get deep enough). I really thought at first most people would think I was crazy to ask such a question, but I am glad you had asked the same question. Take Care!

Susan: Thanks for your comments too. I am with you! I guess that is why I asked the question. Take Care!
